At end of year 2018, my workload was quite heavy and it affected my sleep. I would wake up whenever I turned in bed, and would not be able to fall asleep after that. I also dreamt a lot every night. Sometimes I try to go to bed early, but no matter what time I go to sleep, I would wake up around 2am, helplessly tossing and turning until dawn. I was exhausted and had to rely on coffee to stay awake at work.

In early 2019, two of my colleagues resigned at the same time. I had to do the workload of three persons by myself. In the face of great pressure, my temper became explosive. As soon as I saw the evening “Stress Relief Meditation Class” in February, I registered without hesitation. After the first session, I was able to sleep from 11pm to 7am the next morning. After class every night, I was able to sleep well, free from dreams. I had not slept so well in a long time! Every morning, I woke up feeling relaxed and full of energy.

Back at work, even without coffee, I can now still think clearly, and finish the urgent work first. I am no longer tied down by work. Previously I was so busy at work that I did not leave my seat, sometimes delaying or forgetting to take toilet breaks. Now I go to the washroom when the need arises and I feel that everything is much easier and more relaxed.

Listening to the teachings of Grandmaster JinBodhi in the class also taught me to grasp my emotions better. I am no longer prone to explosive tantrums due to excessive work pressure. I will view situations from the perspectives of others and think calmly, looking at the problem from a different angle. I would gladly cooperate with my colleagues and many tasks can be completed smoothly!
