告别胃胀气及胃酸逆流 Goodbye to stomach bloating and acid reflux

I travel overseas regularly for my work, and hence have lots of opportunities to feast, which led to stomach bloating and acid reflux. I had to rely on acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine twice weekly to relieve the symptoms. The gastric issues became more serious over the last three to four months. My stomach would be bloated before and after meals, and my hands and feet would be cold. The stomach bloating caused me to have difficulty in breathing, and my constant burping frustrated me, affecting my mood at work. Hence, I started to be more aware of what I ate, avoiding any food that was too stimulating, choosing plain porridge or other easily digestible food.

I learnt about the 8.5-Day Health and Happiness Retreat from my sister, and I decided to set aside time from my busy schedule to attend the retreat. On the first two days, I realised that not only did I no longer have acid reflux, the bloating and burping had reduced. From Day 3, there was no bloating and burping at all. As such, during the class, I was thinking about what to eat after class, and I feasted on the food which I had been looking forward to without any worries! I was initially worried that drinking tea will be too stimulating for my gastric, but hearing that the Pu-erh tea was good, I tried drinking and my stomach felt very comfortable. On Day 5, when I was listening to “The Celestial Chant” during the energy blessing, I could feel the increase in energy in my body. My hands and feet felt warm, and my body became relaxed and at ease. I feel great having experienced the benefits of meditation myself!
